A declared snow route ban is in effect to clean up after Sunday and Monday's winter storm but what about residential streets?

Julie Dooley, Publications Officer for the Public Works at the City of Winnipeg said, "at this time, a residential snow plow operation is not anticipated and therefore no residential parking ban is scheduled."

Crews continue to inspect and monitor the conditions of all the streets and are spot-treating residential streets as warranted.

On behalf of the City of Winnipeg, Dooley asks that residents report any unsafe road conditions to 311 for further inspection.

Main thoroughfares and side streets have become slick from the last few days of accumulated snow.

Environment Canada reports that the City of Winnipeg received about 12 to 18 centimetres from the Colorado Low that passed through Sunday and Monday. An additional 5 to 7 centimetres fell as of noon today.
