Earlier: Winnipeg police are asking people to avoid a section of Osborne Street after a multi-vehicle collision.

According to a tweet by police posted just after 6:03 p.m., the collision took place between River Ave. and Stradbrook Ave.

Officers and cadets are on scene conducting traffic.

Police advise motorists avoid the area and use an alternate route.
