The 13th Annual Tractor Trek saw 36 antique tractors parade through the region to raise money for two Manitoba organizations.

Vintage tractor owners and enthusiasts collected pledges of support and then paraded for more than 50 kilometres.

Robert Goertzen says the event brought in over $25,000 for Eden Foundation and Mennonite Heritage Village in Steinbach.

“Some local people gave us some snacks and water breaks and then we had lunch in Ste. Anne,” Goertzen adds. “And that was really wonderful to be in a community like Ste. Anne, we were at the Redemptorist Park which is right next to the Seine River and Villa Youville, the seniors housing there. It was just a wonderful, wonderful day.”

The event wrapped up with supper at MHV for the drivers, their spouses, and the volunteers.

The parade involved 36 antique tractors.

Goertzen expresses appreciation for everyone involved with this fundraiser.
