Authorities are investigating after slippery conditions Monday morning may have contributed to a fatal crash.
During the morning commute, a crash occurred on the Perimeter Highway between Portage Avenue and Roblin Boulevard. RCMP officers from Headingley and Stonewall arrived at approximately 8:30 Monday morning to find evidence of a serious crash.
Earlier this morning, #rcmpmb responded to a single-vehicle collision on #MBHwy100, b/w Portage Ave & Roblin Blvd, that claimed the life of a 28yo male as his southbound vehicle collided with a pole. Slippery road conditions were present at the time. Investigation ongoing.

Police say a 28-year-old man travelling southbound lost control and collided with a pole. He was found dead at the scene.
RCMP says at the time the road was slippery. They do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
Headingley Traffic Services, the Criminal Collision Investigation Team, and a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist are investigating.
