A Winnipeg man is dealing with being robbed where approximately $30,000 worth of property was stolen; the WPS has arrested three suspects so far.

The Winnipeg Police Services received a report of a theft in progress in the 400 block of Ferry Road on May 13 at around 9:45 a.m.

General Patrol officers from the West District attended and spoke with the 39-year-old male victim, who advised that he interrupted four male suspects stealing property (construction tools) from his enclosed trailer.

Officers learned the four suspects entered an awaiting vehicle, narrowly avoided running over the victim, and fled before the police arrived. The victim reported he was uninjured as a result of the incident.

At approximately noon, patrolling officers observed the involved vehicle operating in the first 100 block of Westgrove Way and arrested three occupants without incident.

The Major Crimes Unit assumed the investigation and recovered some of the stolen property through subsequent search warrant execution of the vehicle and a linked residence. The value of the recovered stolen property is estimated at $30,000.
