The Winnipeg Police Service is asking for the public's help finding an 18-year-old man suspected of recent stabbings and robberies at a bus stop. 

On November 2, 2022, at approximately 10:15 p.m., an 18-year-old male was robbed while waiting at a bus stop at Keewatin/Burrows. The victim was punched and slashed with a knife by an unknown male who demanded his property. He was treated for serious injuries to his upper body. The suspect fled on foot.

A second incident occurred on November 4, at roughly 6:45 p.m., a male in his 20’s was robbed while waiting at the same bus stop at Keewatin/Burrows. The victim was attacked with a knife, his property stolen, and the suspect fled on foot.
 
The Major Crimes Unit took over these investigations and identified a suspect. A warrant for Jayden Isreal Kennedy, an 18-year-old male, has been issued for Robbery and Weapons-related offences.

People should look for the man in the picture. A few indicators include the following:

  • 5’11” in height, with a thin build
  • Numerous tattoos, including two distinct ones on his neck that say “Family” (left side) “Josephine Laquette” (right side) 

Anyone with information on Kennedy’s whereabouts is asked to contact the police. WPS is advising that people do not approach Kennedy, as he may be armed with a weapon.
