Authorities are asking those who may have footage of a deadly shooting Friday in the 1200 block of McGillivray Boulevard to come forward.

The Winnipeg Police Service believes dashcam footage could play an important role in a homicide investigation.

On Friday, a 21-year-old was shot at Thomson In The Park Cemetery during rush hour. Police say they were called to the cemetery at 5:10 after the gunshots were heard. They found the victim and transported him to the hospital, where he died of his injuries.

Police are hoping drivers may have caught something on camera.

They are looking to get footage from a dash-cam from anyone who was driving on McGillivray Boulevard between 5 and 5:30 p.m.

Those who have are being asked to call the WPS Homicide Unit at 204-986-6508.
