Five people aged 17-31 are facing charges in regards to an attack at a bar.

At 10:25 p.m. on September 1, Winnipeg Police Service officers were called to a bar in the 700 block of Maryland Street. Police say a group of attackers were assaulting a man in his 20s outside of the bar.

Attending to the victim, police say the man was suffering from traumatic injuries to his head and face and sent to the hospital in critical condition. The victim remains there, receiving treatment for his injuries. 

Shortly after arriving at the scene at the bar, police arrested Brendan Monias in the area of Sherbrook Street and William Avenue.
 
Continuing to investigate, Major Crimes arrested a second suspect, Jonathan Flett, on September 3. 

On September 13, police arrested a third suspect, a teenage boy.

On September 19, two more suspects were arrested, Michael Harper and Brittany Fiddler.

The charges range from Aggravated Assault to Attempt to Commit Murder, with all suspects facing more than one charge. 

Most are being charged with Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order.
 
Brendan Nigel Percy Monais, 27, is being charged with:
- Aggravated Assault
- Possess Weapon
- Carry Concealed Weapon/Prohibited Device
- Resist Peace Officer
- Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order x 3
 
Jonathan Malachai Flett, 18, is being charged with:
- Attempt to Commit Murder
- Possess Weapon
- Fail to Comply Sentence
 
A 17-year-old male is being charged with:
- Aggravated Assault
- Fail to Comply Sentence
 
Brittany Michelle Fiddler, 30, is being charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon
- Possess Weapon
- Fail to Comply with Release Order
 
 
Michael Kehche Harper 31, is being charged with:
- Aggravated Assault
- Possess Scheduled Substance (Methamphetamine)
- Fail to Comply with Condition of Undertaking
 
All of the accused were detained in custody.
