A power outage in the Waverley Heights area has left over a thousand people in the dark Thursday morning.
It's also wreaking havoc on traffic. A number of lights have been knocked out in the area including Bishop Grandin Boulevard at Waverley Street. Motorists are reminded to treat intersections without lights as an all-way stop.
Manitoba Hydro says the cause of the outage is a transformer fire.
Crews are working to fix the problem. There is no word as to when power will be fully restored
