A large fire is currently ravaging the site of an explosion that devastated Beirut, Lebanon, last month.

Several news agencies have confirmed the fire at the port.

Reports say that this is the third fire to break out in the port since an explosion killed and injured thousands of people in August.

Tom Atema, a missionary with Heart for Lebanon, is currently four blocks from the fire. He tells CHVN that the fire is motor oil and new tires and seems to not pose danger like August's fire that caused the explosion.

However, he says, "people close to this area are in panic mode." Live videos on social media show panicked people fleeing the area.

Firefighters are now battling the blaze where 10 of their colleagues were killed in the line of duty.

This is a developing story. More details to come.
