Health officials shared an unscheduled COVID-19 bulletin, cautioning southern-Manitoba residents Friday evening.

The Province of Manitoba is sharing that there are two additional COVID-19 cases in the province.

A man and a woman, both in their 50s, are being identified as the new cases. The province says they are from the Southern Health – Santé Sud Health Region.

Public health officials are warning the two visited a store in southern Manitoba while symptomatic. On June 10 at approximately 6 p.m. the pair visited JT’s Store and Diner (40 Penner Dr.) in Blumenort.

"Public health is sharing this information to ensure people are aware and know to seek testing if symptoms develop," the province says in a statement.

They are reminding Manitobans to stay home "even if you are only feeling a little unwell."

Updated at 6:10 p.m. - a previous edition said that the pair were asymptomatic when they visited the diner. They were symptomatic when they went out. CHVN regrets the error.
