Education and Public Health officials are sharing how schools and celebrate their graduates this year.

Manitoba Education is asking schools to host their graduation in similar ways to last year's.

They are asking schools to postpone celebrations until the fall, host a virtual or a ‘drive-up’ or ‘drive-in’ vehicle ceremony.

They say all modified graduation ceremonies must adhere to all public health orders and guidelines.

Advice for in-person ceremonies, if allowed under the health orders includes:

  • pre-recording messages
  • placing diplomas on a table for graduates to retrieve
  • minimize the number of school employees required to host the event
  • ensuring photographers and videographers adhere to public health orders
  • ensure there is no mingling in groups or waiting in lines
