The RCMP Musical Ride is headed to Winnipeg as part of Canada's 150th birthday celebrations.

The Musical Ride will be at the Assiniboia Downs on June 10 and 11 as part of a cross-Canada tour to celebrate Canada's 150th birthday. The tour will visit 10 provinces and 1 territory from May until the beginning of September.

The Musical Ride gives the public an opportunity to experience the RCMP's many traditions and heritages. They also raise funds for local charities and initiatives across Canada in any city that they visit.

". . . [T]he police can give back to the community. It's a Canadian tradition," says Constable Aaron Harder of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

"If we can help out communities throughout the country, that's what we are here for."
