Four missing hunters, including two kids, have been found safe and sound by the RCMP.

The Manitoba RCMP says police were first notified of the missing group of hunters on Tuesday, October 15, at 7:10 p.m.

Two adults and two youths, 16 and 12, were hunting in the area of Mosquito Lake.

They had been dropped off on October 8 and were supposed to be picked back up on October 11. However, the RCMP says that poor weather prevented their chartered floatplane from picking them up.

There were concerns that the hunters only had enough food for their intended three-day trip and that they were sleeping in tents as there are no cabins in the area.

Members of Gods Lake Narrows RCMP conducted a search of the area by helicopter Wednesday afternoon. They were able to locate the four hunters, who had set up camp on the shores of Mosquito Lake.

The RCMP says that all four people are in good health and now back with their families in Gods River.
