A situation in Norway House is resulting in the arrest of suspects aged 18 to 67, all set to appear in court.

On New Years' Eve at 7:40 p.m., Norway House RCMP received a report of a fight between two men at a home. Once arriving, officers learned one of the two men, a 25-year-old, fled the scene with a shotgun and ammunition, making his way into a nearby home.

RCMP then surrounded and contained the home. Trying to make contact with the people inside, the officers were unsuccessful. During this time, they learned up to 13 people could be inside the home.

At 8:45, several of the people inside the home stepped outside and were taken into police custody. Next, the officers entered the home, finding the remaining residents along with the shotgun.

The 25-year-old man from the earlier altercation is being changed with numerous firearm offences. He is currently in custody.

Ten people from the home are set to appear in court at a later date. This includes six males aged 67, 30, 30, 27, 20 and 18, and four females aged 30, 23, 23 and 19.

RCMP are continuing to investigate.
