The hunt is on for three suspects who stole over $70,000 worth of Apple iPhones from a business in Portage la Prairie last month.

Portage RCMP say the robbery happened shortly after 9 p.m. on March 10 at a business on Sissons Drive in Portage.

Police say the three adults, two males and a female, came into the business and went directly to the electronic area. The woman distracted the employee, and within minutes, the two men broke into a locked cabinet and took off with around 60 iPhones. It was so quick that staff did not notice the theft until the next day.

RCMP say the theft cost the business over $70,000 and is believed to be related to three similar thefts that happened within the last month in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Brooks, Alberta, and Medicine Hat, Alberta.

They are now searching for three suspects, including a man in his 30s who was last seen wearing a white jacket and a blue ball cap. They are also looking for a male in his 30s wearing a black and white baseball cap and a woman in her 30s wearing a long white jacket.

Anyone with information on this incident or who recognizes the male captured on video is asked to call the Portage la Prairie RCMP at 204-857-4445 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
