Winnipeg, MB – Do you have a real Christmas tree but aren't sure what to do with it when Christmas is over?  Recycle it for free by taking it to one of the 11 Let’s Chip In Depots between December 27, 2013, and January 20, 2014.

Please remove all tinsel, decorations, plastic bags, and tree stands. Residents are welcome to help themselves to free wood chips, which will be available at all depots in early January (while quantities last). Please remember to bring your own container.

Residents are reminded that trees placed beside recycling or garbage carts will not be collected.

Keeping Christmas trees out of our landfills means that the trees will continue to be a valuable resource. Winnipeg residents recycled 14,500 trees last season.
