Winnipeg fire officials are investigating following a fire late Sunday afternoon.

At around 4:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to a one-storey home in the 300 block of Alexander Avenue.

Smoke and flames could be seen pouring out of the house when crews arrived at the scene.

Firefighters attacked from inside the home, declaring the fire under control at 5:01 p.m.

Everyone safely self-evacuated before crews arrived. No injuries were reported.

The City of Winnipeg’s Emergency Social Services team responded to the scene to help residents find temporary alternative accommodations.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
