Jennifer Jones and her powerhouse curling team say that changes are coming for all of them at the end of this season.

The team took to Twitter on Monday to announce that they will no longer continue as a team once the season comes to a close. Dawn McEwen, who was Jones' lead for since 2007, announced her retirement last week.

"As you know Dawn has decided to retire from curling at the end of the season and the rest of us are figuring out what our curling futures may look like," the team's announcement says. "We wanted our fans and the curling community to hear it from us first that we have decided to go in different directions once this season is over."

The team is currently ranked No. 5 in the world, and while they failed to capture a medal at the recent Beijing Winter Olympics, they're no stranger to the podium. The Jones rink won gold at the 2014 Winter Olympics, two world championships in 2008 and 2018, and also is a two-time Scotties Tournament of Hearts champion.

Jones has won eight Manitoba Scotties Tournament of Hearts championships, with her first victory coming in 2002. They were also named Team Manitoba in 2021 after the bonspiel was cancelled due to COVID-19.

"It's been an incredible journey and we are so thankful for every game and every moment spent together over the last few years," the team says. "We couldn't have more admiration or respect for each other and we will continue to support each other in whatever comes next."
