Mounties say a 40-year-old woman is facing trafficking charges following the discovery of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

On Friday, the RCMP Manitoba West District Crime Reduction Enforcement Support Team(CREST) and RCMP officers with Turtle Mountain executed a search warrant in a Boissevain home, a community approximately 27 north of the United States border.

Executing the warrant at a residence on Broadway Street, officers found approximately 42 grams of cocaine, Canadian currency and drug paraphernalia.

The suspect is now facing Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Trafficking Material and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime charges. She is released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on February 24.

RCMP Manitoba says they are continuing to investigate.
