RCMP have now laid charges after being called on Friday to a home in Steinbach where they found the body of a 69-year-old man.
Police says Savannah Dueck is the 34-year-old woman who was taken into custody on Friday. She has now been charged with Second Degree Murder.
Dueck will appear in Winnipeg court on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.
On Friday, July 29, 2022, at approximately 3:00 pm, Steinbach RCMP received a report of a deceased male inside a residence on Whitby Crescent in Steinbach.
Officers responded immediately and his death was determined to be a homicide.
Police report that the deceased and the female were known to each other.
RCMP Major Crime Services has taken over the ongoing investigation, with the Forensic Identification Section assisting.
