In the early hours of Tuesday morning, the Winnipeg Police Services were kept on their toes with two separate reports of gunshot victims in the downtown area.

At 2:15 a.m., the WPS, with the assistance of the K9 Unit, responded to a report of a shooting in the 600 block of Spence Street.

Once arriving on the scene, officers ensured the safety of the neighbourhood before proceeding into a residential suite and locating three individuals suffering from gunshot wounds and a fourth victim was found nearby.

Officers performed emergency medical care, including the use of chest seals.

Two males in their twenties and two in their thirties were transported to the hospital in an unstable condition. Three victims have been upgraded to stable condition, while one remains in guarded condition.

The Major Crimes Unit has taken over this investigation, and no arrests have been made at this time.

Then, at around 6:00 a.m. later this morning, the WPS responded to the report of a shooting in the 400 block of Beverley Street.

Officers and the K9 Unit arrived on the scene and ensured the safety of the neighbourhood

Two adult victims were located with gunshot wounds. One female was deceased, and a second victim was transported to the hospital in an unstable condition.

The Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation, and no arrests have been made at this time.
