Monday morning is starting off with severe weather in western Manitoba, but as of 9:30 a.m., the warnings and watches have ended.

Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing wind gusts in excess of 90 km/h and quarter-sized hail.

This weather system reaches as high as Riding Mountain National Park near Dauphin.

At 7:48 AM CDT Doppler radar indicated that this line of severe thunderstorms stretched from Wasagaming to Souris and was moving toward the east at 40 km/h.

Environment Canada says that heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Very strong wind gusts can damage buildings, down trees and blow large vehicles off the road. Intense lightning is likely with any thunderstorm that develops.
