Another grocery giant will be requiring customers to mask up as they shop.

Signs are popping up at the entrances of Superstore locations across Winnipeg. The signs say that come next Saturday, masks and/or face coverings will be required in their stores. The company has yet to put out an official release stating which locations the requirement is affecting.

The Loblaw chain's sign says the requirement for customers is beginning on Saturday, August 29.

On Loblaw's website, they say they encourage their employees to "wear masks, particularly where physical distancing is not always possible."

Mask requirements are currently in place for some Loblaw stores in Canada, including many stores in Alberta and Ontario.

CHVN has reached out to Loblaws for more information.
