Three adolescents are facing drug, firearms, and assault charges after police found them fleeing in a taxi.
On Monday morning at 4:25 a.m. a woman called 911 saying she had been assaulted in her 200 block of Doncaster Boulevard home. She told officers the three assaulters had firearms and fled in a taxi.
Nearby officers found the taxi and the three suspects inside of it.
When bringing them into custody, officers found:
- a loaded Ruger rifle and ammunition
- a loaded sawed-off shotgun and ammunition
- hunting knife
- handcuffs
- dime bags of cocaine and Xanax pills
Aged 15, 17, and 18, the trio from Winnipeg are all facing numerous assault, firearms, and drug-related offences.
