She was a pastor's wife, a mom, and a blogger. And she was thrust into the national spotlight when she was diagnosed with cancer and began to share her journey. Now, a documentary that followed Kara Tippetts and her family on her journey is set to release on the fourth anniversary of her death.

The Long Goodbye: The Kara Tippetts Story was produced by husband and wife filmmakers Sofia and Jay Lyons.

The Lyons and Tippetts connected through mutual friends after Kara's cancer diagnosis. Jay had been wanting to do a TV show focussed on suffering and death and approached Kara.

The Lyons followed Kara and interviewed her and her family throughout her illness.

The final product is a raw and real look at suffering. It is also an up-close look at faith in the midst of suffering, and hope found in Christ when confronted with these things.

The documentary will be available on March 22 for purchase, and digital download. More information can be found at the film's website.
