The wife of Christian rock band Third Day's lead singer, Mac Powell, is in the hospital for bleeding in the brain. He shared a sweet moment of hope in the intensive care unit on December 2.

Powell's wife has been in the hospital since November 30, 2019. According to his social media post, their 16-year-old daughter Camie "comes down every night to snuggle with me and Aimee on the couch, and she wasn't going to let a trip to the intensive care unit stop her."

The young daughter joined her mother in the hospital bed for a moment together. It brightened the night for the singer to see such love and reminded him of brighter days.

His wife, Aimee is experiencing a lot of pain however, there seems to be the hope of recovery on the horizon. Powell says, "once we were past midday, things seemed to be getting a little better. We were able to have clearer and longer conversations today. I felt at one time today “There’s my Aimee coming back to me!”

"The pain is not going away soon. But there is so much to be thankful for."

He states that visits and notes have really encouraged the family. They feel supported and loved by the reaction from the community. "We are OVERWHELMED by the encouragement and love we are receiving. We hear and feel your prayers. The calls, texts, and posts have made me tear up quite a few times," Powell says.

He anticipates that his wife will be in hospital for weeks to come but the family is still in high spirits.

"The pain is not going away soon. But there is so much to be thankful for.

"We are confident that because of the great prayers and support that we are getting- we’ll be able to get that snuggle time with Camie Love back on the couch soon!" Powell says.
