Dolly Parton Christmas TV special shares hope of Jesus' birth

Dolly Parton’s Mountain Magic Christmas debuted at the beginning of the month, along with many of Parton's friends, proclaiming Christ's birth.

The show featured many well-known names including Jimmy Fallon, Willie Nelson, Billy Ray Cyrus, Jimmie Allen and Miley Cyrus. Christian artist Zach William's also had a guest role.

'From Everywhere to Bethlehem' in Winkler draws over 2,000 people

While a few days this past weekend was bitterly cold it didn't stop people in southern Manitoba from taking in a live version of the retelling of Jesus' birth. 

After a two-year hiatus, the live nativity called 'From Everywhere to Bethlehem,' put on by Winkler's EMMC, was again set up in Winkler Park. The Christmas event drew 2,168 people throughout the weekend.

The Chosen partnering with ministry to spread gospel in 600 languages

The Christian TV series that portrays the life of Jesus Christ and his relatable followers will be able to reach even further around the world thanks to a new ministry partnership. 

The Chosen TV series has been available for viewing on its own app since its inception. The crowd-funded project initially had four episodes lined up and walked in faith for the rest. As of November 18, they have released the beginning of Season 3.

Connor scores twice, Jets top Panthers 5-2 in Maurice's return to Winnipeg

Kyle Connor scored twice and added an assist to help the Jets spoil Paul Maurice's return to Winnipeg with a 5-2 victory over the Florida Panthers on Tuesday night.  

The game marked the first time Maurice faced his former team. After coaching the Jets for parts of nine seasons, the 55-year-old left abruptly midway through last year's campaign. He signed on as Florida's bench boss in June.

The Mendelson family would love to find the envelope where their father, Lee, scribbled some lyrics to jazz musician Vince Guaraldi's composition “Christmas Time is Here” for an animated TV special featuring the “Peanuts” gang in 1965.

The producer always said it had taken less than half an hour to write, and he likely tossed the scrap of paper away. He was in a rush. Everything was rushed. No one even knew, once the special aired, whether it would ever be seen again.

Grant Memorial continues 'Let it Glow' lights tradition

"The first one was last year," says Smith. "We host people to drive through our property as they do that, we have a musical production. We have a huge LED Christmas tree that dances to the music. We have a whole bunch of lights around the church and this year we've added a video wall."
