Mounties say they have a teen boy in custody after three serious attacks occurred in the span of four hours.

Authorities in Thompson have a 16-year-old boy in custody, believing a series of three violent incidents overnight Wednesday are related.

Starting at 10:55 p.m. Wednesday on Public Road, officers were alerted of a 29-year-old man was approached by two males and a female. The group tried to steal from the man. The victim was then pepper-sprayed and stabbed several times. The 29-year-old is in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Minutes later, the second report of a stabbing in the same area was announced, as a man on Thompson Drive South. The 35-year-old victim says "a group of youths: approached and assaulted him, stabbing him several times. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Early the next morning, at 2:15 a.m., officers were alerted to a third attack, this time on McGill Place. A lone male kicked down a door,  pepper-spraying the occupants. Officer arrived, tracing the footprints, finding the suspect in residence nearby. 

Officers took the suspect, a 16-year-old teen, into custody where he remains.
