Samaritan's Purse says they are rallying to protect Afghans who have fled their country, delivering much-needed supplies.

As the situation in Afghanistan continues to devastate residents, Samaritan's Purse is currently on the ground (and in the air) aiding those who have evacuated. This week, Tim Tebow joined them.

"We have been heartbroken over the crisis in Afghanistan, the loss of our brave servicemen and women, and the loss of so many other precious lives. With so much suffering around the world, we ask that you join us in prayer," Tebow tweets.

He joined Edward Graham, who is Billy Graham's grandson and the Assistant to the Vice President of Programs and Government Relations for Samaritan's Purse, on a trip delivering supplies such as hygiene items and blankets.

"Our medical team was able to deliver a baby by C-section as soon as they arrived in one location. We thank God they were there to help," Franklin Graham, Edward's father and Billy's son, says in an Instagram post.

Tebow is calling for prayers for many other issues including those affected by wildfires, severe flooding, and COVID-19.

"With so many challenges, we, the body of Christ have many opportunities to impact those directly affected by these crises. In the dark, the light of Jesus shines brightest. As we pray over each of these crises," Tebow says. "Let’s all seek ways to serve those affected and be ready when God calls us to step in to make a difference in the life of another. Romans 12:21 calls us 'to not be overcome by evil, but to overcome evil with good.' We are made for these moments."
