Police say a man was threatened at knifepoint, chased, and tackled during a carjacking.

On Sunday night, a man and his friend were in the rear of a first 100 block of Havelock Avenue residence. The friends were approached by two suspects.

Police say the 24-year-old victim was carjacked at knifepoint, chased and tackled, robbing the man of his keys, and then vehicle.

At 8:36 p.m., officers were alerted of the situation.

Noticing the stolen vehicle in the area of Fermor Avenue and St. Anne’s Road, officers followed the vehicle, bringing it to a stop in the area of Beaverhill Boulevard and Lakewood Boulevard. The pair was then taken into custody.

An 18-year-old Winnipeg man was charged with Robbery and detained in custody. A 20-year-old woman is facing a Robbery charge and is released on an Appearance Notice.
