The Winnipeg Polcie Service says a demonstration on Portage Avenue has cleared.

Update 2: Winnipeg TMC says a protest appears to be making its way to Dominion Street.  

On Portage Avenue at Empress, Winnipeg RMC says the protest appears to be headed back towards Dominion and is blocking all eastbound lanes.

Westbound lanes are clearing but there are delays.

Update: Traffic in all directions at the corner of Portage Avenue and St. James Street is being disrupted. The City of Winnipeg asking drivers to avoid the area. Police say there are delays.

The Winnipeg Police Service says to expect delays in the area of Portage & Dominion.

The WPS says there is currently a traffic disruption downtown.

Winnipeg TMC says all westbound lanes are being blocked due to a protest. They are asking people to avoid the area.

There is currently a grassroots march happening in solidarity with the Wet’suwet’en, Secwepemc, Algonquin of Barriere Lake, and the Mi’kma’ki at this location.
