The Winnipeg Police Service is asking the public for their assistance following the death of a man in his 30s.

On Christmas Eve, a man in his 30s was found in the 500 Block of Furby at 5:40 p.m. suffering from serious injuries. He was transported to the hospital by emergency crews in critical condition where he was pronounced deceased. The victim's name, Lloyd William Chubb, is being shared with the public.

The Homicide Unit is investigating Chubb's death. Those with information are asked to call 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).

Investigators with the Winnipeg Police Service is spending the holiday season investigating homicide, something not uncommon in the city.

This is the third year in a row that Winnipeg police are investigating a homicide. In 2019 on Christmas, Gordon Edward Pashe, a 37-year-old man was found at the intersection of Redwood Avenue and Salter Street, died on the sidewalk. In 2018, a 26-year-old was fatally attacked with a machete.
