The province has lifted its Do Not Consume advisory for Victoria Beach.

A 'Do Not Consume' advisory that was issued on July 27 for the residents of Victoria Beach was officially lifted on Tuesday, July 31.

The medical officer of health and Manitoba Sustainable Development have found no presence of coliform bacteria in the water and chlorine residuals have remained stable.

The advisory was issued after an unauthorized chemical was added to the treatment process, which lowered the level of chlorine to unacceptable levels.

Manitoba says the issue was caught prior to significant public exposure.
