About 70 people gathered for a vigil in Winnipeg last night near where the partial remains of 24-year-old Rebecca Contois were found earlier this week.

Police say they discovered her remains outside an apartment building in the north part of the city Monday morning.

Officers are also searching a landfill and police say it's possible there may be more victims.

Jeremy Anthony Michael Skibicki, who is 35, has been charged with first-degree murder and remains in custody.

This is an ongoing investigation. Officers have executed a search warrant on the accused’s residence, located in the area. Another potential scene has been identified at the Brady Road Resource Management Facility. Winnipeg Police Service members remain on scene at Brady as the investigation continues.

Due to the nature of the circumstances of this investigation, Homicide Investigators have not ruled out the possibility of additional victims.
