The Winnipeg Police Services (WPS) is seeking the public's help in locating a man wanted in connection with a recent homicide.

On Tuesday morning the WPS sent out a release saying that Alvin Joseph Glen Nelson, 34, of Winnipeg, is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder.

Police responded to reports of an assault the afternoon of March 12 in the 400 block of Agnes Street. The WPS says officers located a 30-year-old man from Winnipeg inside a residence who had been seriously assaulted. He succumbed to his injuries after being taken to hospital.

Nelson is described as an Indigenous male, 5’11” in height, with a medium build. He has brown eyes and black medium-length hair, with a mustache and goatee. He has a skull with horns tattoo on his left forearm.
 
Police are warning the public not to approach Nelson if they see him. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
