In a tear-jerking video, Luke Smallbone shares the inspiration for one of the songs on For King & Country's upcoming album, called 'Cheering You On.'

The Christian band For King & Country is made up of two brothers, Luke and Joel Smallbone. Luke is married to Courtney and together they have four children, three sons and a daughter born in that order.

"My oldest son has this way of saying some very profound things," says Luke of his son Jude. "Like a lot of kids, at very normal times. One day we're driving and he says to me, 'Hey dad, you're going to die one day, hey?' Heavy hitter."

For King & Country's new album, What Are We Waiting For? is launching on March 11.

"Yeah, I will die. I said to him, 'Hopefully, God-willing, it won't be for a number of years. When my time comes it won't feel maybe the same way as it would feel to you as a seven-year-old little boy."

After hearing this, Jude thought about what his dad had just said before he responded.

"He said, 'Well I'm going to learn everything I can from you until that day comes,'" says Luke, recalling the conversation.

One of the singles on the album is called 'Cheering You On.' It's about Luke's conversation with his son.

"This song is [for] my boys and to my little girl. This is my list."
