A pair of suspects are facing charges following the firing and hiding of a gun in Winnipeg's Spence neighbourhood.

Early Saturday morning the Winnipeg Police Service received a report of a fight and gunshots in the 600 block of Furby Street.

Air1 was nearby at 2:40 a.m. and located a suspect in the act of hiding the recently-fired firearm on a roof. Officers called the firearm "hot" in Air1's video footage of the roof.

With the help of the Tactical Support Team and Air1, ground officers then arrested two suspects.

A 26-year-old man is being charged with:

  • Pointing a Firearm
  • Discharge a Firearm with Intent
  • Possession of a Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
  • Possession of a Restricted/Prohibited Firearm

A 29-year-old is being charged with:

  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Possession of a Weapon
