The unseasonably warm weather has caused a few headaches for organizers at the Festival Du Voyageur this year.

First of all there is fun, excitement, fantastic music and tasty food to be had as usual. However, with the warm weather this year there are a few things to keep in mind.

1. WEAR RUBBER BOOTS - there is a lot of muck around the tents and grounds so unless you enjoy soggy feet and ruined shoes, where rubber or water proof.

2. Nearly all of the snow sculptures are more like large piles of snow so don't get too excited about them this year.

3. Tobogganing is a no-go as the run is more like a waterslide.

4. It is definitely still worth attending for the food, music, historical features, and general festivities. You don't want to miss the poutine, maple on a stick, and mini doughnuts!

Festival Du Voyageur is in full swing and runs until the end of the week.
