The planners of Praise Xplosion, a praise and worship event happening in Winnipeg tomorrow, are thrilled to worship God as one body.

"Tomorrow is going to be a great day in Winnipeg," says Gbolahan Oduntan, one of the Directors of STO Global Concepts. "Praise Xplosion is an event to build an army of praise of people with one voice, one heart, under one roof to lift up praises to God Almighty."

The free praise and worship event starts off with a red carpet picture time at 4:00 p.m. at Glory and Peace Church International, 1296 Main Street.

"This event is one of its kind in the city of Winnipeg," says Bunmi Praise. She helped plan the event and will also be singing throughout the evening.

"We want to bring down the presence of God into the city, bring everyone together, and all we want to do is praise and worship God without any barrier or limitation," she says.

Oduntan shares that everyone is invited, no matter their colour, race, or religious background.

"You are invited because we all serve the same living God," he says. "When you come into His presence, I can assure you you'll come back home refreshed, revitalized, and reenergized."

The evening officially begins at 5:00 p.m. with a gospel jazz band before international singers and bands. One of the worship bands has come all the way from Uganda. There will also be a live drama, spoken words, and dance.

"Praise and worship is essential," says Praise. "One thing I've learned is that when we're going through things in life, we pray, right? I've learned that when you praise God, it takes off that burden and lifts up your soul."

The event is open to all ages and the team encourages people to bring their families out.

"Just come and have fun in the presence of God!"
