The Grey Cup championship game may have been only days ago, but the CFL is sharing the 2022 season's 18-game schedule.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers joke on Facebook that they have been too busy to create a funny announcement for the 2022 season, but with a newly-arrived Grey Cup and cleanup from Wednesday night's celebrations, they certainly have been put to work.

"We know our fans are still celebrating the Grey Cup win, but we’re already looking forward to the return of a full 18-game schedule in 2022,” President and CEO Wade Miller says in a statement. “We can’t wait to continue the celebrations into next year with our incredible fans and raise another banner at IG Field.”

An 18-game season is planned for 2022.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will play at home, kicking off their 2022 season against the Ottawa REDBLACKS on June 10. The Bombers will fly to the home turf of the REDBLACKS the week afterwards.

"The Bombers will open with four straight games against East Division opponents – following the back-to-back with Ottawa to open the season Winnipeg will then be home to the Ticats for a Grey Cup rematch before visiting Toronto on July 4th," the Bombers say.

June 10 and 24, and July 15 will all be Friday night home games. August's games will be on Thursday nights.

The Labour Day Classic will occur in Regina on September 4.

The Banjo Bowl will be played on Saturday, September 10. The Bombers will have a home game against the Edmonton Elks on the Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend.
