The Winnipeg Jets are rallying behind two young boys from Morris.

The two boys are Maddox Just, who is battling a brain tumour, and Charlie Burg, his friend working hard to raise money for him.

Twelve-year-old Maddox has a brain tumour around the size of a walnut on the top left side of his brain.

Nine-year-old Charlie decided to fundraise for his new friend Maddox by drawing Winnipeg Jets players.

The team recently reached out to help contribute to the cause, so they got five of the players to sign Charlie's drawings.

The five players who signed the drawings were Kyle Connor, Connor Hellebuyck, Blake Wheeler, Josh Morrissey, and Adam Lowry.

Charlie's mother, Jennifer, says The Jets reached out and said they wanted to sign some of Charlie's drawings to do a draw for.

She says all five drawings will be given away in the draw.

"What we're doing is we've selected the numbers 1-50, and in order to be entered in the draw, you just have to donate $30 or more to Maddox and Charlie, and we'll give you a number."

So far, Charlie has raised $5,400 for Maddox, with his original goal being $500.

The draw is this Friday, April 28th at 8pm.
