Police stations across the city are temporarily closing its doors to members of the public to do their part to "flatten the curve."

For those wanting to make a complaint with the Winnipeg Police Service, the city service is asking residents to report online or call 204-986-6222 instead.

Doors will be closed to the public as of 4 o'clock today.

Along with the change, the police service notes they will be asking additional questions when individuals call 911.

"You will be asked additional questions concerning your health and whether or not you are self-isolating," WPS says in a statement,

Due to the changes, WPS will not be able to provide fingerprinting services but are still able to conduct criminal checks online.
