Woman dead after experiencing medical distress in downtown bus shelter

A woman who was experiencing medical distress in a downtown bus shelter has died.

A report about the woman in a Winnipeg Transit shelter at Portage Avenue and Edmonton Street was made at around 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

The woman was transported to hospital and later declared dead.

The Winnipeg Police Service is investigating but says the circumstances of this woman's death are not considered suspicious at this time.
