A Winnipeg Transit bus driver has impacted regular commuters so much that he is gaining recognition on social media for his positive attitude.

Earlier this month, a picture of transit operator, Joseph Fullmer, was shared and received almost four thousand likes and was shared 251 times expressing the impact his happy attitude has on people riding the bus.

"All aboard!!" says the Facebook post by Chärlôttè KnottHolmes. "I seen people say things like 'this guy is too happy.' Well...don't burst his bubble. He's a good soul, he gets people smiling. I sat in the back and watched every single passenger come on the bus with a huge smile."

Hundreds of comments flooded the post, most of them indicating they'd seen the driver before and that he makes the commute more worthwhile.

All of this recognition couldn't have been timed better, as the annual Transit Operator and Employee Appreciation Day is being held tomorrow.

Beginning to work for Winnipeg Transit two years ago, Fullmer never thought they would hire someone like him. Someone who loves colours and is outgoing and engages with others.

"This guy is worth his weight in gold!" reads one comment.

Some people have even mentioned that if he sees them running up to the bus wanting to get on, he'll pull over.

Winnipeg Transit encourages people to thank their bus operators by posting to social media using the hashtag #ThanksTransit.
