Christian artists have flooded Jon Steingard's Instagram with messages of support and love after the Hawk Nelson frontman announced that he has departed from Christian faith.

"After growing up in a Christian home, being a pastor's kid, playing and singing in a Christian band, and having the word 'Christian' in front of most of the things in my life - I am now finding that I no longer believe in God," Steingard says in an Instagram post.

That same post has seen several Christian musicians respond to Steingard.

Jordan Janzen of Canadian band The Color says, "Love you, brother. As you know, I have always appreciated your honesty and your willingness to be vulnerable. You are loved!"

"Man, I love that you shared this," Mike Donehey of Tenth Avenue North says.

Donehey encourages Steingard to reach out to talk sometime. "You know I’m always around to talk about our belief in God or lack thereof. Love you and always will."

Donehey's bandmate Jeff Owen also reached out. Owen says, “Love you Jon. I miss being around your joyful presence. The next time I’m in San Diego I’m hunting you down and hugging you and bro-ing out. I’m here for you and love you.”

Jordan Feliz and Steingard have a close friendship. Feliz writes, "We love you so much my friend. I am always here for you, no matter what."

Jeremy Camp simply writes, "Love you bro. Always will."
