A young adult ministry in Winnipeg is continuing to see growth and bringing together young people.

The first Bread We Break event of 2019 was held Sunday night at Grant Memorial Church in Winnipeg.

Alexander Grant, the director of Bread We Break, has been leading the ministry for about a year.

Grant first got connected, by attending the nights to worship. He says he was encouraged to find other young christians in the city. “I was always an attendee, just coming and worshiping and loved the community and loved getting to talk to other young adults”

Originally gathering at the Meeting Place in downtown Winnipeg, the event changed venues recently as they ran out of space. This past Sunday was the second time Bread We Break gathered at Grant Memorial.

Bread we break started about seven years ago and has grown exponentially since then.

Following in the footsteps of ministries like One Heart Winnipeg, Jesus marches and John Buller’s worship community movement, Bread we break aims to connect christians in Winnipeg.

Grant explained these worship nights as uninterrupted worship where people wait on and hear from God in powerful ways.

The stories of God moving in people's lives through this event are often captured and shared on social media. Grant explains how this has allowed people to connect after and between events which are every two months.

Bread we break is full of young adults having “actual tangible conversations with the father” as well as building a community of people who love Jesus in Winnipeg.
