A snowfall warning has been issued for parts of Manitoba, with over 10 cm possible beginning Wednesday morning.
Environment Canada (EC) says that "a low-pressure system forming over the American Midwest will track northeastward toward Lake Superior on Wednesday. Significant snow associated with this system will reach into extreme southeastern Manitoba beginning Wednesday morning."
EC says that 10 to 15 cm are expected over the warned area by the time snow tapers off Wednesday night.
Meteorologists are currently saying that "surrounding areas of the Whiteshell and eastern Red River Valley will see lesser accumulations in the 5 to 10 cm range. However, some uncertainty remains in the forecast track of this low and additional warnings may be required as the system approaches."
