Now Playing What just played?

THE COLOR

ONE SURE THING

Listen Live

Read and listen to how God used CHVN's request show Friday morning to use prayer in an incredible way.

On Friday, January 11, Rachel called into CHVN to request the song 'Impossible' by Sidewalk Prophets.

"My husband is currently in the ICU fighting for his life," she said fighting back tears. "And I think that with God anything is possible."

We took time to stop and ask the CHVN listeners to pray for Rachel and Wayne.

You can listen to the phone call here:

In the afternoon Rachel sent an incredible email:

Good afternoon Mike.

I want to thank you for playing my request this morning “Impossible by the Sidewalk Prophets” and for requesting prayers.

A doctor from palliative care came to speak to Wayne and me and in our conversation she realized that when she tuned in to your station she heard the tail end of the prayer request and took the time to pray for us, not knowing that she would be meeting with us just a few hours later.

I thank you all for the wonderful and inspirational music and words that you and your station offers.

God is truly in the midst of our situation (which deep down I knew) and it helps when I receive confirmation that so many people are in prayer.

Thank you and God bless you.

Rachel

We never know how God will use us when we stop to pray for others. In this doctor's case, God is literally using her gifts and skills to minister and care for this family, now.

Would you join us in continuing to pray for Rachel & Wayne?
