Grant Memorial Baptist Church was packed once again on Sunday night for Bread We Break, a bi-monthly worship event.

After over a two-month break, this was the first one of the year, so participants were looking forward to being back.

"I missed the last one so I was really excited to come," one eventgoer said.

Besides the worship, there was a short panel with three people who mentor Bread We Break's director Alex Grant. They challenged every person in the room to take the popsicle stick that was given at the door and write the name of someone that they wanted to mentor them.

Sharing the importance of having people to pour into you was a common theme that was brought up through the discussion.

It was scheduled to run until 9 p.m., but after the last song, people weren't done with the crowd chanting "One more song!"

After singing Cody Carnes', 'Firm Foundation,' the night did have to wrap up which was met with a loud "Boo," from the crowd.

The next event is on Sun. Apr. 14, 2024, at Grant Memorial Baptist Church.
